Just a quick note…
Seems like many of you are not utilizing an online rhyming dictionary to help you with your songwriting efforts.
For those who don’t know, you can head over here:
http://www.rhymezone.com
…and rhyme away until you hearts content
Have a great day (or evening depending on where you are).

I have used ZhymeZone a lot since reading about it. It isnt the best, but it works really well for jump starting ideas, and I think that is the main point anyway.

This is a good tip. I would like to thank you for all the great advice you have givin me. Thanks for trying to help us all out. As far as the music I have written many songs…….just can’t seem to get good lyrics yet. It seems everything sounds corny to me. Anyway I am getting better thanks to you and hard work.
Peace all!

Firstly, I will say that what you are doing here for people is fantastic. The information you are sharing is valid, and rewarding. I have been writing songs for years, and have been using many of these guidelines in my own creations for a long time already, and they really work.
Keep up the good work Shamir.

Shamir, I have so enjoyed your songwriting tips. It is such a positive influence to have your emails come through. It is sort of like an alarm clock going off….telling me to get to work writing! Really great stuff. All the best.

Pretty good site. Your past emails have helped in my lyrical writing. I’ve written several now, and plan to have at least one, played in a large public gathering. I’ve also entered several song writing contests. Thanks much, for all your tips. My next step is to obtain a musical instrument I can use to at least express the melody I need for my lyrics.

I have a question. When you write a song and record it and it is all finished. you put it away , But when you go back to it you try it another way. Here is my Q , do you get rid of the first one or would you keep it just it case?

There’s another absolutely free rhyming dictionary you can install on your PC [only ] do a search for ‘McGill English Dictionary of Rhyme with VersePerfect - Free;’ It’s exactly what you need and as you type a word it gives you rhyming options- perfect and imperfect.

I want to thank you for offering this product. It has been great for me in pinpointing my weaknesses in songwriting. Also, I’ve alway has a tendency to overthink things when I’m writing, this program has forced me to just go for it!!!
